Performance

Essential to the all round performer

Performance classes are regularly part of the curriculum where students perform a song/dance/speech to their peers and receive constructive criticism. An accompanist is always on hand for this.

It is essential that a musical theatre performer is able to work as part of a team to produce performances that a Musical Director and Director would require from an ensemble.

As well as the Performing Arts Academy, Expressions have their own agency which offers students the chance to perform short term contracts. This is encouraged to give our students the chance to have the experience of working professionally in the industry. Work during term time will not be discouraged but students will only be released for short periods of time so the student’s education does not suffer. Experience of a live audience is crucial and we aim to give the student as much of this as possible.
